Alastair Brown - Chair

Alastair is a Chartered Engineer and has spent the last 20 years in senior leadership and executive roles in the nuclear transport, shipping and rail industries. He has a strong interest in STEM subjects and believes that primary education is the key place to foster children’s enthusiasm for lifelong learning. Alastair is also passionate about diversity and is very keen to promote equal opportunities for all.

Alastair has lived in Warrington for over 20 years and has been a scout leader for over 30 years. Alastair has therefore been involved in teaching young people skills for life through scouting for many years, albeit in a less formal setting than school. Alastair is delighted to join the WPAT Trust Board where he will be able to bring his wealth of leadership experience, both through work and scouting, to promote the success of the Trust, the Trust Schools and most importantly the children in the Trust schools.
