Richard Catchpole

Richard is currently working as Managing Director of recently formed company Whitbarrow Consulting Ltd, providing advisory management and non-executive director services to manufacturing companies in the UK.


His experience includes:

  • President (Europe & Asia) for Valtris Speciality Chemicals, responsible for running the company outside of the Americas
  • 18 years technical and operational experience with ICI/Zeneca and Akzo Nobel/Akcros Chemicals
  • 5 years commercial experience as Marketing Manager and European MD for Akcros
  • 7 years as CEO of the Akcros Chemicals Group
  • Initiated and led the setting up of companies and operations in India and China
  • Richard is also a Chartered Chemical Engineer
