Latchford Pupils Meet Liverpool Football Legend
Pupils from Alderman Bolton Primary School met a footballing legend on a visit to Anfield.
Fifteen Key Stage 2 pupils travelled to the Anfield stadium to take part in a World Book Day event.
The youngsters had a busy morning completing drama, dance and writing workshops and worked with children’s author Ben Lyttleton, who has written the 'Football School' series of books.
Then it was time for a quick tour of Anfield stadium before attending an assembly delivered by retired Liverpool and England legend, Phil Thompson.
Head of school Sarah Morris said: “Phil delivered an inspiring assembly and the children really enjoyed meeting him afterwards.
“They were all incredible ambassadors for the school and really enjoyed getting involved in all the activities.”
