Lisa began her career over twenty years ago within a local authority youth service. Her portfolio of work is still practiced today in order to educate fellow youth workers. She later went on to become a formal educator and advisor supporting numerous schools throughout Greater Merseyside. As part of this role, she has written several programmes of work with schools to support maintaining the standards in SEND Education and Safeguarding.
Lisa is a qualified CBT and counsellor specialising in assisting young people. She has a passion for education and ensuring that children and young people feel empowered to make a difference, regardless of their learning style.
She has been in governance for thirteen years and sits on two maintained primary settings and one specialist provision. She has completed the Chairs Development Programme with the NGA.
A very proud ambassador for the Diana Award, as one of the first award recipients, she is still heavily engaged with the organisation to date. Lisa is involved in numerous projects with charities and is a trustee of the organisation TwinkleBoost. In March 2021, Lisa became a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts. and is now delighted to be associated with WPAT.
